Forgot for the life of me where I purchased my digger from. Had a Lesche originally which is ok, bought this a few years ago and absolutely loved it. But there are no markings on it and had no clue where I got it. I finally found it again this weekend.

This thing is solid and has a lot of leverage. Also some serious teeth to cut through roots. Also fits perfect in my bomb sheath.

Going to get another for Christmas,

I have one of the Fiskars diggers. I had a friend weld the tip closed for better digging.

The other digger looks a lot like a Hori-Hori knife with a different handle.

That's the thing i noticed with my lesche, is that it needs to be sharper on the cutting edge. I took a bench grinder to mine which helped, but i may work on sharpening it even further this winter.

I sharpen mine not only on the sides but even in the area between the split points at the tip. It is sharp enough in that area that I have sliced right through smaller roots that barely fit between the tips. Personal defense weapon? Hell yes:yes:. I could run someone through with this thing:pirate:. Fiskars calls it a big grip garden KNIFE on their website! It has a lifetime warranty as well. For 8.99, it's a no-brainer.
