7 copper day! 1793 chain cent!

I don't even know where to start Frank picked me up & we headed back to a cellar hole that produced last time there (Roger got 2 nice Ct coppers ,frank got a nova constellatio & i dug a Ct & a 1722 french coin.
Today was no exception right off the bat Ct's started poppin, :gettinmoney: then a 1793 chain cent! :yikes: a few more coppers.frank got a KG then i got the shoe buckle.after hours there we decided to hit another site we just eyeballed on side of road.another shoe buckle this one being iron and a 1807 draped bust LC. what a day! :woohoo:
kinda afraid to clean this chain cent anymore.has blackish gritty gunk on it.any suggestions or should i submit this to be professionally cleaned and slabbed?
also frank dug this cannonball.could this thing be live?notice the hole in center?
so all in all i dug 3 CT coppers,1 draped bust,1 chain cent & 2 smoothies.the 1793 is the rarer variety with AMERI in legend.

Amazing hunt Dave... those results should be in a magazine :yes: The first circulating US coin (struck by the mint at least) is nothing to be modest about :no:
 
I notice a lot of CT hunters find great stuff. Amazing how this stuff is just waiting for to be found many years after gravity caught it.
 
What in the name of all that is holy! WOW, Double WOW! Just when I don't think you can top yourself you go and pull a stunt like this. Just tremendous and amazing finds. WOW!
 
Congratulation on a once in a lifetime find, not to mention the other 6 coppers. You are clearly in a league of your own when it comes to metal detecting celler holes. If there were a title of Master Metal Detectorist you would have to be the poster boy!

I 100% agree that you should have that professionally cleaned and slabbed. You are talking about a good chance of that coin being worth 5 digits. Could be the best find in a coin that I ever saw in here. To you I bow down...A huge congrats to you sir!!!

With a coin of that rarity and potential value, I would definately pay the $$$ to have it professionally cleaned and slabbed. One site that I looked your penny up on states that there are only 630 certified LC's from 1793.
