Good day today. Hunted an old site that has been pounded by every detector in a 50 mile radius for years it seems. After about 45 minutes or so dug a 1939 Mercury dime. Found it in a very iron trashed area. Not totally hunted out...but all the easy stuff is gone. Also pulled a copper plate piece that reads "Anhydrous Ammonia NATIONAL Trade Mark". I don't know what that is yet. Also pulled two copper pennies, one clad and a modern nickel. The silver merc was the highlight. Its been a while since I've found silver. It was a good day.

Nice job pulling some silver out of some pounded ground! Anhydrous ammonia is mainly used as a fertilizer. Some folks use it nowadays to make methamphetamine though.
