ADDED INFO ON FRIDAY MORNING :
So...., I posted the KG on the Hoover Boys page and got the coin identified pretty quick. Apparently it is a GEORGE the 1st IRISH Hibernia half penny, and this design was only struck in 1722,23,24 !!!!:shock::shock:

So, to recap; this little patch of curbstrip coughed up a 1797 largie, the KG, a two center, 6 mercs, a barber dime, and a gold ring in my 3 hunts there !!!! Just unbelievable !!!:?:

Well, I had some vacation days to use up and I wanted to look for some older stuff , so I headed back out east for a few days.
I met up with CELLAR DWELLER for a few hours at a couple parks and came up empty.
I took an hour drive to where I had found a 1797 largie in March at a grassy hill in the city.....It did not disappoint , other than I had already cleaned out all the silvers before.......

I managed this little gold ring that I have not been able to find any info on yet ......maybe a class ring or religious school or something???
Anyone got any ideas on it ??

And can anyone tell me what type of KG this coin is and what years it might be??

Anyway....hoping to get a few more hunts in , and I'm really hoping I can snag atleast one silver while I'm out here.......
Heres the stuff so far......

Wow very cool finds! The KG appears to be a 1723 woods Hibernia (I think) , look at 2 oclock on the back (as pictured) and you can see 1723. I do not know any other coins with the date there but I am no expert. Took me a while to id mine because I was looking for the date at the bottom.

Awsome oldies/goodies! One thing we know because the person's initials are inside. Thats not whats on the ring face and thats a old ring. Im curious to see what is said about it. If one could figure the emblem out one might get closer. My guess is Life Guard emblem especially with the LGH on it, but I might be all wet!

I kept looking for the KG and I just couldn't find anything like it anywhere online. Come to find out that was because I was looking for British coins. Anyway I posted it on the Hoover Boys page and am told it is an Irish Hibernia half penny. So you had it nailed right off the bat !!! Good work!! And thanks.
