Have only hunted a couple times this year. I had shifted hobby to oil painting. I did go out a couple days before we got rain earlier this week. Just hitting my fairly new yard since moving to a little colonial house bout 92 years old. Ground so dry I was probably only ringing in the top 4 inches on coins. Poor hunt. Quarter and 3 zincers. I'm posting only because I'm so darn happy it rained earlier this week and much more coming in a few days. My machine is great but runs smoother with moist soil.
Finally moist! Hate dry conditions....

It’s been very dry here in Ohio too, got some rain coming today, hopefully it’s gone by this evening so I can get back out. But we need rain so if not it’s fine, will get back out soon enough

Yea I’m excited, it finally rained. The ground here has been either cement or dust
