I was at Myrtle beach the last of October for six days. Being from Florida I went with shorts, flip flops and short sleeves. The first morning out the door it was 48 and wind gusting at 30. So to the Walmart to buy warm clothes. After a quick change I headed to the beach at the pier at the board walk. I couldn't believe the beach was all black. Well after a few days hunting I found some firsts. I found my first on the beach Wheat penny 1942. My first WWII era Navy ring, my oldest coin find yet a 1640 Netherlands Daalder, which almost made me wet my pants! And a official Pirates gun. I almost forgot the 75th infantry Ranger division ,Death Form Above badge, appears to have been off a belt buckle. Also a very very small 10K crucifix. I wish I could have gotten into the water but I didn't go prepared. Sadly they are sanding the beach, look in the water at the rig, they were sanding back at the pier that you can see under the pier where I was hunting. It rained one day so a 5 out of six days wasn't bad. Thanks for looking.
