I live in Louisville, Ky and am looking for a metal detecting buddy. I am new to metal detecting and am looking for someone who has experience that can give me some ticks on how to use my Whites DFX to it's potential and learn how to listen for the whispers. I've lately been digging a lot of junk and never found anything over a 1964. I've got some free time now that I'm laid off from work for two weeks. I am going back to school for my MBA and got to school on Thursday nights. The wife and kids are visiting relatives overseas for three months so I've got a lot more time. If anyone has a underwater detector I scuba dive and have my own equipment, two tanks, two BCD's. I also have a canoe if it would make access easier. Since there are numerous civil war battle sites around Kentucky I would like to find an old civil war encampment. If your interested you can PM me.
