Found this in a yard where I dug some turn of the century indian heads and a skeleton key and such... long shot, but anyone recognize it? It has the end of a very old wooden dowel inside

That is the tip to a muzzle-loading musket ramrod. Probably British.

Is the inside wood.. umbrella handle maybe?..be cooler if it was a ramrod end
