Encouraging Hunt after layoff

I haven't been hunting near as much the last few years due to a career change and am just getting to a place to put some time back into it.

Had a surf and turf hunt day yesterday, 1 morning beach ring and 3 evening park rings along with around $4 in change from both. 2 of the rings are stamped silver and the other 2 have no markings. Anyone ever seen a real diamond in a silver setting? Any input appreciated! Thanks for looking!

Anyway, a 4 ring day to kick off a comeback was encouraging even if they're just common.

Best of luck to you on your career change. Wow what a comeback nice job on the rings. :dingding::hi5:

Good to see some local action. Not sure about your end of the bay, but down here @ the Monterey and Carmel end of the bay: Everything's sanded in. The last 2 winters have been pretty lame, with little erosion episodes. So for me, it's been mostly all land hunting for a long time now !

Tom, I do get down your way 1 to 2 times a year and spend some time swinging the beaches there, we stay either in Carmel or Pacific Grove, usually a short get-away weekend. Found my oldest coin there, 1864 Indian Head penny. Did more hunting when I worked construction there, mostly high end remodel and would go on the beaches before work.

Yes....diamond especially the smaller seem to raise the price I guess. But I’ve seen them now in SS,TI.... and a lot more so called junk rings.

Hey Ken, nice hunt! Glad you are getting out again. I have not been out for awhile myself.

Nice ring total for dirt hunting. I imagine there's going to be yellow soon too!

I find quite a few silver rings with real diamonds. Usually not the best quality. Did find a decent crusty silver engagement ring with diamonds not bad once though.

Congrats on the nice hunt and getting back in the game.
The Headhunter Pulse with 8" coil you sold me is still chugging along and finding the goodies. Thanks again.

Wish I could get a layoff. I've had pretty much no time off the entire year. Oh well. Gotta make hay when the sun is out, right? Awesome hunt!
