I have never liked the standard coil supplied with the DFX and started using a 4X6DD coil and liked how that worked. About 3 years ago bought a Big Foot coil. It has not been taken it off the detector since and love it. But, I think I'm signing up for a coin & nugget hunt next month and they have rules that say "largest coil size is 11 1/2 inches max, no exceptions!" So, knowing the hunt is on a acre or more field, I think I need a new coil larger than the 4X6 and don't know what to buy. I need some suggestions please.
