Ace 250 Pinpointing Acting Up

I just used my Ace 250 in my backyard. It was working fine, but all of the sudden, the pinpointing stopped working. It no longer gradually scans from no bars to full bars. It just jumps from no bars to all bars all of the sudden, making pinpointing impossible?

Any ideas?

You could try going back to factory settings and see if it works, or when you find a target try pinpointing then pull off the target and hit the pinpoint a couple times and try again sometimes that will work. Hope this helps. Howard

That's normal in my book. If you start pinpointed off center, it will act that way. I prefer to pinpoint like that because when it sounds off, you know the object is dead center under the coil.
