Hello,

I'm brand new to the hobby.

I found about 14 of these bullets this weekend in Northern Missouri very close to where the Haun's Mill Massicure happnened in 1838 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haun's_Mill_massacre). Does anyone know how I can figure out whether these bullets are from that time period or not?

Thanks!
Burton

That one appears to be copper jacketed, which means it can't be that old. Micrometer measured diameter and weight (in grains) would help determine what it may have been fired from.
