Good on ya D27! I really enjoyed the play by play! Like others have mentioned, I also for some reason royally SUCK at games of chance! If its up to Luck, I totally Suck! I cant even win a door prize at a Tupperware Party! Same with the Stock Market! I cant win a coin flip if I'm playing with myself!
I'm like Clark Griswold in Vegas!..."Hows about you give me your money, I kick you in the nuts, and we call it a day?"
I cant figure out any logical pattern to turn my money into more through 'Gaming'...I might be over thinking, or theres something wrong with my internal electrical system that triggers the machines to not pay? Like a reverse magnet? I dont know...sumpthins going on!
I have concluded, for me: "Luck is no respecter of effort or intelligence!" Neither is the Stock Market...or Beanie Babies...
On the roulette wheel you got numbers and red and black.
Despite people playing any system they can think of there is no system that works.
People like to see patterns where there aren't actually any patterns, sometimes.
Red can come up 100 times In a row so you notice this and bet the house on red but black comes up instead because you have exactly the same chance of any of the numbers or colors showing up on every spin.
In slots there is something called a random number generator chip and it is exactly the same thing.
It doesn't know or care about anything that went on before, every spin is a new one so people that believe certain machines run hot or cold, or it can't hit a jackpot because it did recently or anything else are just fooling themselves...it's all just about luck and timing when you pull the handle or hit the spin button.
Tight or loose machines are a fantasy, even though the casinos can control this winning percentage somewhat by changing out the RNG control chip, (expensive to do on an existing machine already on the casino floor), or mess with it a little if the machine is server controlled.
Still, there are laws that govern this stuff and the machines are usually checked and audited from time to time by authorities to prevent a lot of hanky panky.
Mud, if you were sitting at that machine the same time I was and you hit the spin button exactly the same time I did you would have won the same jackpot...magnetism or no magnetism.
The big difference between us is I spend more time in front of slot machines than you do so I have a better chance to win, or mostly lose, money than you.
Plus I am much better looking...despite what you believe that does count.
