Hey, Navyss...
I was just looking for something to do to get me out of the house. I did have a homebuilt metal detector when I was in high school (many years ago!). I found it was interesting just to see what kind of junk you could locate and dig up. I never found anything valuable, but my old homemade detector was pretty crude. Hopefully the one I just bought will be at least marginally more sensitive.

In hand.
I now have the detector in hand. I am watching the "instructional" video that came with it. So far it seems to be a long advertisement of the Garrett detectors and all their superpowers. We will see. I hope to head to a park or at least somewhere today and see how she works.
