"E" token from Wichita park

I dug this token from a park in Wichita, KS yesterday. It is roughly the diameter of a penny and about as thick as a dime. It has an embossed ring around an embossed capital "E". The image on the face is raised, and the back is sunken. It looks to be copper. Anyone seen this before?

The token is round, but looks like it has a tab on it because it is bent.
 
I think since the back is sunken, that this is not a token but maybe part of a bigger item. Perhaps the center piece to something else.

Interesting. What park did you find it at?
 
You and me both brother. Last year with the 53 days of 100* degrees or more weather we had, I looked for shade every chance I could. Congrats on your find.
