First solid silverware

I went to iron beach and found this spoon surrounded in rust with my Equinox !
It says U.S. on front and 1916 on back. This beach is where I found my Barber spill.

Dude that’s sweet! Looks like a 1916 US WWI era mess kit spoon, don’t think they’re sterling, but a very cool find!

You had me at barber spill :wow:
 
Very interesting, I just found one as well but it was a bit more recent and stainless steel. Had US on one side and a C3596 on the other side and there was a hole in the handle of it.
