Hey Guys. I was at a 1700s house today and found this flat button. It looks extremely worn, but there is a very slight possibility of a person riding a horse on the face of the button. I can just barely make it out when I shine a light on it the right way. On the back, it looks like it has a little gold gilt on it, and it says (if you read from the left to right, I know it's backwards) "UNUM E PLURIBUS" and then "U.S.A." underneath in the center. I was hoping someone could help my identify this button. Thanks!

Wow, very interesting - first I've ever seen... Most likely a patriotic button of some kind but would certainly be interesting to find our if it was Govt issued, either for a uniform or for a presidential commemoration... Style of the button is roughly 1810-1850ish if I had to ballpark?
