Thanks guys for all your good info over the months. One thing I have learned from you guys is on the AT Pro a VDI of 53 could be a can pull tab, nickel or ring. I have dug a more than a few 53s and they have always been a nickel or more often a can tab. Except for today!
I was out in the middle of a grade school field and got a strong 53 about an inch deep. I dug up this "diamond ring". Actually it looks like it is silver plated with alot of the silver worn off and some of the diamonds missing. Since it looks like a cheap ring, I really don't think the diamonds are real. But the point is rings DO show up as 53 on my AT Pro.
Past week I have found 3 rings:
- kids copper ring came in around 80
- silver ring came in as a quarter target at 87
- diamond ring came in as a 53
Still no gold yet!!
