White's Surfmaster PI?

Is this the first model of the Surfmaster PI? What might it be worth? Any pros or cons of this detector would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you plan on sending it to White's, I wouldn't buy it. That looks like the older case that used the black o-ring. They leaked, the latches popped open fairly easily when they caught on something, and I personally had one crack at the delay knob.

The coil on that one is going to float too. The diver coil was heavier on dry land, but was much better in the water.
 
Many of these Whites detectors leak . You need to change to the orange -o ring gasket and some people use silicon grease sold at dive shops on the o-ring.. I would pass on these..
 
I have one, with the black "O" ring and it has served me well for over 100 hours (and I got it used) in the water so far. They are good machines but certainly not worth more than a couple to a few hundred dollars (at least to me). Mine DOES have the Pulse Diver 950 coil and is a dream to swing in the water.
