I went to my favorite Sunday hunting spot and came away with a nice mix of finds.

A couple of wheats ('52 & '56), 5 memorials, and a 1944 Mercury. Unfortunately I dinged the reverse.

I also found a couple of risque horoscope tokens.

Here's the G rated side of each one. :D

My most interesting find is a little lead rabbit. If anyone recognizes it sound off. There aren't any markings on it.

Congrats on the silver and interesting tokens...kind of fitting you found a rabbit!

Welllll, the two largest going franchises are Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit and Royal Doulton Bunnykins.

However a thorough search for both brands and "Lead Figurine" and "Pewter Figurine" got me loads of cute bunnies, but none attired or posed quite like that one. Frankly, if one has to distingwuis between the two, my money is on "Bunnykins". Why? Because Peter is generally depicted as wearing a loose little frock coat and nothing below. Bunnykins figurines seem to be wearing a coat and pants and are more close fitting, like the one you found. Furthermore I DID find one wearing a yellow jacket, so that might be the place to search. Looking again, I think your bunny is also wearing nothing below. H'mmm. His coat is definitely sorter than Peter's. Could be a knock off, too. Since it seems to be painted entirely one color. Maybe a game piece for the Peter Rabbit Race Game"?

I got many more responses on 'pewter' than 'lead' so bear that in mind. I'll keep looking but right now I'm up to my !!! in bunnies!

Thanks for the input. I surfed up some Bunnykins and they all seem to be more detailed than my rabbit. Mine seems to be wearing a turtleneck sweater as opposed to a jacket and you're right, there are no pants.

Oh well, it's an interesting find none the less.

I happen to find the same rabbit (but blue) last month. Below is info someone posted for me on the rabbit

"That rabbit is a game piece from an old Uncle Wiggley game, 503 or earlier. My much older brother was born in 1945 and he had the game with those same cast rabbits to move around the board. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncle_Wiggily_(board_game).

Here a set that needs your blue one. https://www.etsy.com/listing/69371881/gentleman-rabbit-uncle-wiggily-x3-metal."

Excellent ID! Thanks. :woot:

I love the breadth of knowledge represented on this forum.

Send me your blue rabbit and I'll put it in a dark room with my yellow rabbit. That should give us green rabbits. Then we'd just need to find red ones.
