Hello everyone! Long time absence, no real activity here. Live in Moreno Valley
not, not SF Bay... This account was made a long time ago, but I'm really a newbie.

I was thinking about going to do some MD here on Sunday... anyone have experience here? It's a CA state recreation area, so near as I could tell MD is allowed but you can't disturb any vegetation...

Anyone have any more reliable info than my 15 minute google search? I looked at the website and it doesn't mention metal detecting anywhere.

CA state-parks do not have any specific prohibition or disallowance for md'ing. Just avoid obvious historic sensitive monuments.

And as far as "disturbing vegetation" Well, gee, I suppose the same could be said of any park or forest or beach or desert, etc..... (aka "alter", "deface", etc....). But if you've covered your spot, left no trace, then presto : You haven't disturbED, alterED, or defacED anything. Now have you ?
