"Adventures In Dirt" is my YouTube channel.

It is dedicated to chronicling, well...., quite frankly, my adventures in dirt which mainly includes my addiction to metal detecting and uncovering lost history here in Northern Colorado and beyond.

I will post as often as I can as time permits but shooting for at least two times a month.

On Monday, May 1st, my Youtube channel, Adventures In Dirt, hit 100 subscribers and I thought that was pretty cool because it took a lot of work to get there and it meant that I could secure my own customized URL.

Then, later that day, my friend texts me and says "you just won the SCdigger giveaway... you just won a new metal detector"... wait, what? I couldnt believe it. Out of over 700 entries, the random selector, selected me!

I still dont believe it but here is a video about that stroke of luck.

Congrats. The best thing my family has won this year was a drawing for an event where an organ grinder shows up and plays songs. Like kids birthdays. No, it's not even remotely as cool as winning a new MD. Guy doesn't even have a real monkey. I was thinking about having him come play the next family intervention to take the edge off.

Well, we did it, we finally have been able to find remnants of a Civil War era Cavalry Camp and are hitting hit hard. Super excited. Here are two videos of two trips to the area. Super rare to find these types of targets here in Colorado.... enjoy...
