Ace250 settings question

I was wondering if a person set their Ace250 to all metal mode & notched out everything except nickle/dime/penny/quarter/ would it work the same as setting it in jewelry or coin mode & notching out everything except nickle/dime/penny/quarter/. Hope I make sense. Thanks! Steve.

The "modes" on the Ace250 are just different settings to the discrimination. The all metal mode is not "true" all metal and still has a slight amount of disc to it. Essentially you are correct. Setting it the way you siad would be equivalent.You can do the same thing to any mode.
