Last week I was restless to get out, heat had prevented me from going, I decided to go and look for shade. I went up on a side hill at the site and detected under the trees. To my surprise I found the Barber dime and a Merc. The Barber rang up at 24 on the Nox, both while in the ground and out. It is rather thin from circulation so I suspect that is why it rang up lower than expected. As the sun was setting I went back down on the flat where I have detected before and found the other Merc.
I went back the next day and tried on the flat. It was early and foggy and COOL.... This time I decided I was digging every signal that came up. First hole was the 1906 Indian head. Great start to the day. Two holes later I found 3 wheaties. Ended up with several wheaties and the game token.
Yesterday I went back with a friend and found a few more wheaties, a ring and a 1953D quarter. My friends best find was a 1927 Merc.
