My buddy found this today. I’ve looked through the site that’s listed in this section for Chinese Coins, but can’t find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Nice Find...That appears to be a cash coin from the Kuang-Hsu period in china 1875-1908...That particular coin would be called Kuang T'ung [KUANGTUNG MINT MONEY}..This type is reported to have been struck in 1889...These were the first machine struck coins in China
 
Disregard. I found it. 1889-1908. That’s his oldest find now. Funny thing is, I’ve been detecting this yard for almost two years now. He found it under a big root. I remember digging a target at that root about a year ago and gave up. Lesson learned.
