Just joined. Located in Northern Virginia. Interested in relic, cashe & gold hunting.

Machines I own:

White's Spectra V3i
Mine Lab Explorer SE
Garrett Grand Master Hunter (digital)
Garrett Grand Master Hunter (analog)
Fisher 1280x
Fisher Gold Bug

Hoping to find a way to get my Minelab Explorer SE to handle the hot rocks and mineralized soil in the stream bed on my property. It just goes nuts! My Vi has no problem in the same area.

Welcome aboard! I have swung my share of those Grand Master Hunters and still love them till this day!
How is the soil in your parts? Do the Garretts do a good job in it?

Thanks!

Thanks everybody! I feel welcome already.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to adjust my Minelab Explorer SE to work around hot rocks and mineralized soil, let me know or point me to a discussion. I've worked with the SE for about two years now but have not been able to seach many sections of the small stream bed of my property due to all the noise. It just goes nuts.

I'm hoping it's just my ignorance and not the machine. My White's V3i walks right through the same area with no problems. Any suggestions?
