I had 45 minutes of daylight this afternoon to start checking out the sledding hill at the local elementary. This is the same school where I found the 1903 barber dime a few weeks ago so anything was possible. Just 5 minutes into searching I got a solid hit and there popped out the '48 silver Rosie. Not the biggest of finds but sort of a milestone since I've now found the 3 silver dimes of the past century.

It feels great seeing that shiny coin pop out of the ground, doesn't it. The three of them are in nice shape. Good going!

Nice going! I'll be happy the day I get my 1st Merc. I think the Barber will be out of the question for me in Miami. On to your next Trifecta!
 
Good going Geodawn, those are some very nice coins. I love seeing that bright silver color in the hole. :shock: :D
