Hi all. I was hoping to get out one last day before the new year, but the snow just wouldnt have it. So I decided to round up the goodies and post my totals.
Found a total of 154 silver coins this year. Not as many as last year(158), but I'm pleased because my two year average comes to exactly 3 silver coins per week. That's a number I actually strive for week to week, so I'm thrilled it worked out that way for two years straight.
Also, I've landed a couple of amazing relics and my first real gold(broken ring with blue stone). The WWII army air corps crewmembers wings and the 112th infantry ring are two of my favorite finds ever.
I noticed an increase in my Washington quarters and rosies this year, along with a decrease in seated, indians and LCs. This I attribute to knocking more at 40s and 50s houses and less opportunity at the really old sites. Although my Barber count was up as well as my V nickels. So...I have no idea what im talking about!
Anywho, the totals:
1 '64 Kennedy half, 3 walker halves, 4 Barber Qs, 3 SLQ's, 20 Washington Q's, 7 Barber dimes, 59 mercs, 52 rosies, 4 wartime nickels, and lastly my best coin find of the year - my 1870 seated half dime.
*Not pictured are my indians(maybe 20), "V"s(6), LC's(3) and a handful of Buffalos. Not to mention a great many wheats(several hundred??)
Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone on the forum for providing yet another year of inspiration, kudos and the spirit of fun which I know is what we all love most about this place. Simply love it here.
Happy New Year All!!
