I'm in wisconsin but are there any detecting clubs within an hour of you? They may have some members living close. Or you will hafta just get one of your buddy's hooked . Generally most fisherman or compulsive golfers or even hunters have the addictive outdoor obsession that this hobbie can just dominate and take over there lives
Also helps if you post your state or county's in your title of your post so it stands out to those near you. Though I am not actively looking for a new hunting buddy if I see Wisconsin in the title I'll generally open the post and check it out.
