I've only been detecting for about 3 months, and I've mainly been hunting an old farm site from the mid 1800's, and I've got a lot of old relics, like horse harness buckles, broken axe heads, old tools, etc.
But yesterday I decided to try a new spot, and I got lots of clad mostly from the 1970's, and then I wandered into the woods because it was starting rain, and walked between two large trees and I got a signal from under a large root and I decided to dig it.
I dug down about 6 inches under the root, and I couldn't believe what was there.
I use an AT Pro.
I don't think I'm ever going to be able to top this one.
Its a 10k gold ring from Dawson City, Yukon with gold nuggets on it.
It weighs 7.8 grams.
I'm still having trouble believing it myself.
