Finally made it out for a hunt!

Its been over a month since I have been out metal detecting. I finally got some time and a permission to get out and do some detecting. An older house built around the 20s, and a good size property that was about half wooded. I stuck to the open grassy areas mostly, the mosquitos were out in full force. I had a 1st today, a skeleton key, i didnt get a picture and the homeowner wanted to keep it, which i was fine with. I got to keep the shiny stuff

. One of my best days in a while with 5 silvers, and only my 4th silver quarter ever. 16 wheaties with the oldest a 1919.

Thanks, it looks old, I havnt looked up the markings, they are difficult to make out. It looks like mother of pearl for the stone, which has worn away in the ground.

They seem to come when you least expect it, this one rang up like a cent. Im still waiting on one of those gold ones!

Thanks, i think the lot is a full acre, didnt get the wooded area covered.

Thanks, Im welcome to go back too, there is a good amount of wooded area and the homeowner was talking about having me check in the basement where there is a dirt floor.
