In the lot of coins that I picked up, there were a total of 38 Canadian nickels all dated 1964. Nearly all look like proofs has they have that shiny surface with the matte details (portrait and beaver). I cannot find anything about the mintage numbers for Canadian proofs though. Any help here would be great.

Anyway, I found one with a nice die crack on it. Looking at a couple of Web sites that list known varieties and errors for each year Canadian coins, I could not find it listed. Does anyone know if this one is common or rare and if it adds to the collectability of this coin?

Thanks,
Doug

I'm not sure about the commonality of this die crack, I could not find any info on it so it could be rare. Perhaps someone else here has some more info on it. But it does add to the value of the coin, how much I'm not sure.

If you are interested in selling one of your other 1964's PM me as I would like to get one for my fiance's birthyear collection.
