We had a break in the weather today so I went out to a couple of curbstrips that produced a good Wheatie count last time CruiserKev and I were there.
Hit it very hard, especially a curbstrip that was about 15 feet long.
My persistence paid off and I was rewarded with a very worn 1918 Mercury dime and 8 Wheaties (oldest being 1914 (sadly no mintmark on that) and a 1923). The dates of all of the Wheaties were 1914, 1923S, 1943D, 1945D, 1957, 1942S, 1946S, and 1942S. 2 Washington Tax Tokens.
Think the only reason I was able to pull the Merc was because it was so worn it sounded like a Wheatie.
First silver coin of 2019 calendar year.
