Detector goes blank

The last couple of times I have been out my Garrett AT PRO has suddenly gone blank, as though the batteries are totally dead. Each time, however, if I walk away after a couple of frustrating minutes trying to get it back on, it suddenly comes back on. The battery level is fine. I have checked for loose connections and such, and I can't find any problems. Have any of you run into this issue? :?:

I have never had that issue with a metal detector but having been an electronics technician for over thirty years years it sounds to me you may possibly be having a thermal issue. The electronics will work fine until they warm up... and then they will just shut down. Once cool... they will miraculously start working again. Those kinds of problems are really hard to troubleshoot. Best of luck!
