That's right, intake manifolds. I haven't been into speed parts since the late 1970's, so I'm kind of foggy on it now. I do remember Hooker was the big name in headers, and Crager mags were the chrome wheels to have. Hurst was the shifter of choice, Cherry Bomb and Thrush were the big names in glass packs, and Holly was the big name in carbs, with competition from several other companies. I had a 4 barrel Holly 650 double pumper that when I had my 327 Chevy at 55 mph, I could actually see the fuel gauge needle move! I sold that thing fast and put the stock Rochester back on. :D

Anyone remember the big thing back in the '80's was water injection? :cool:
Injecting water into the carb, that is...to cool the combustion chamber.
