Quick hunt near one of my job sites today. Found an Australian Commonwealth Military Force badge/pin and a broken ring with a green stone/glass jewel with West Germany written on back.

Well done, that's what we call a rising sun badge! A bucket list find for many over here. Here's one I found a few days ago. Mine is missing the loops at the back but looks like they're still on yours. It should clean up nicely if you rub it with 0000 steel wool.
