Just another sand scoop question

I'm looking to upgrade my beach scoop. Does it matter given the same size are round holes any better than hex? My current scoop has 15mm holes which I think are too large. I was looking at several scoops with holes and hex holes ranging from 7 to 9mm. What's best, or is it just a matter of personal preference?

I would bet on half inch holes.

My scoop has 3/8 inch holes. I still lose small stuff thru the holes. rivets, ear ring backs etd.
