Etrac and cold temps?

Hi, I live here in Chicago, and was planning on hitting a cornfield within the next couple of weeks. With the recent cold temps, will it be harmful to the electronics of my detector? I would hate for condensation to build up inside the control box. Any thoughts?

Store it in the car over night so you aren't taking it from warm into cold. Depending on the temps, you may have battery power problems, or possibly screen display problems.

I would worry more about whether the ground was thawed enough to dig.
