found this bezel and inside cover
i thing its silver 14.4 grams
you can see where i took a file to it and its not plated
i posted a thread in id my finds any info is appreciated

I know people use acids to test gold but how do you test for silver?

It could be "coin silver" aka nickel. They look and feel like silver, but aren't. In fact I have an 1883 Elgin coin silver pocket watch sitting on my desk staring at me while I'm typing this.
