Gonna make it short. Another $10 of pennies.

AU 1969 D
1960 D x4 (One SD)

1959 D x2
XF 1970 x2 (For my collection)
AU 1973 D (For my collection)
1964 Canadian x2 (One Looks polished)
2008 Canadian
AU 1972 D (For my collection)
1963 Canadian x3
2009 Canadian
XF 1969 D
2005 Canadian (Without any mint mark)
VF 1959
1942 Wheatie
1915 D Wheatie
1951 D Wheatie
1970 S x2
1973 S
1969 S (No DDO)

And today I found a VF-AU 1944 Wheatie

I think I did good even with the low amount of Wheaties

Nice finds!

Is there a list of the more "rare" memorial cents anywhere? I don't mean like error coins, but coins such as the 1960D, 69S, etc...

The reason I ask is have a gallon jug full of pennies to roll and have been separating the coppers and zincolns. I was just wondering if some were worth more than their copper value.

I don't have a list that I follow. I just keep all the 60 and 60-D. As well as any pennies with the Mint mark of S. Always check the 1969-S Penny for the DDO.

the key date coins will be 1959-1969 1968-s - 1974-s and the (1972 all mints) As for the melt value, i don't see the gov allowing us to melt them any time soon, and you have to ask yourself... if that were true how many key date wheat or indian heads would be melted by people that don't care?

You said you found 2 1970S? Either one of them a "small date" by any chance? That'd be fantastic!

Congrats on the nice finds. 3 wheats in $10 isn't bad. That would come out to 7.5 wheaties per box. Only 4 of my last 27 boxes (I keep a spreadsheet) have had 8 or more wheats in a box. A 1915-D is a pretty good score. Keep up the good work.

Curious, why do you keep the 60 and 60-D's?

Small dates. If they are not I still put them aside for being quite old and would put them with my copper hoard.

I will check. I didn't even know they had those.

Thanks. The 1915-D Wheatie is the oldest coin i have found in a roll. Hoping to find a Roll of wheaties some day though.

Nice finds

Thanks.
