Was on my way to a site that had buildings back around 1900 but are gone now. Got distracted by a vacant school and empty playfield. I didn't know it at the time, but the school was built in the mid 60's.

Had I known that, I would have kept on going to my predetermined site....

Anyhow, it was full of 70's-80's clad, but I did find a nice little ring. It is sterling silver costume jewelry made by the Uncas Co. It is stamped "Sterling" with a letter U with an arrow threw it. They used that makers mark from the 20's to 1988.

Nice. I've found two Uncas rings in the past year. Both I suspect date back to at least mid-1950s. One in a school's multipurpose field and one in the woods at a spot near a creek where kids used to play.

Thank you. They did make some nice costume jewelry, didn't they?

Beautiful old ring! Congrats!
Thanks. It sure is a beauty.
