yeah, especially when the first thing you see is the part of a pulltab that resembles a ring when it's still full of dirt, you clean it off, and then it's :cuss::gaah::madmad::facepalm:

I know this feeling all to well....:D, but I did dig a pulltab that ended up being a gold plated, I know not worth much, but a nice cross..
 
Ahhh. Christ guys we don't need to relive it day after day..

That is about like the day I had today. I went to scout a area I have reserched. A long flat bench in the oldest part of town that runs next to a creek that supplied my town with water in the 1800s.

I found lots of canslaw and the find of the day was a ultra rare 1999 Delaware state quarter. I consider the day a success, not because I dug a quarter. I finally picked up on the tone diffrence between can and quarter.
