Thank you for letting me join. I'm in the middle of retiring on a disability after 32 years in the military flying drones in the Air Force. I'm a HUGE history buff, so what better way to help preserve that history than this. I've always wanted to start "detecting" but never had the time with work and deployments. I just bought a Garrett Ace 300 and a Pro Pointer. Would love any and all advice, as well as anyone in the area that would like a newbie partner every once in a while, or can tell me some places to start. Been watching YouTube, so I'm not completely stupid. HaHa... I've also learned a lot from just snooping around this site. Anyway, thank you again for letting me into your club here. Let's begin !!!
 
Welcome. I'm in Michigan but visit the "natural state" a few times a year. One of my favorite finds was a 100 year old watch fob in Piggott.
