Another season has ended, and it's time for research for 2019 :yay:
2018 was a pretty good season, my first day out was the 28th of Feb.
With my first coin of the year was an Indian head.
I knocked a few bucket listers off the list this year, SLQ, Franklin half,
& found one key date coin, along with a Sterling thimble, and a class ring.
I didn't find any gold this year, and fewer rings being 925/str

Unfortunately this season came too an end too soon,
with colder temps & late field harvests, being hard to detect any farm fields.
I used the CTX more this year than I did in 2017.
In 2017 I used the CTX perhaps 50% of the time, & the AT Pro 50 %
This year I dedicated myself to the 30/30 & only used my AT Pro,
about 6 times, usually when my CTX battery power ran out.

Through my notes I've kept, from 2017 & 2018,
I can see the 30/30 has made me a better coin shooter.
Yeah, the "Learning curve" is big & long ....I still consider myself novice,
I still have much to learn about the FBS (beast)

Awesome year DD! Looks like a lot of quality finds! The Ctx is a coin hog for sure!

Very well put together wrap up and comparison.
Let's not forget what another seasons worth of experience adds .
Finding the sneaky ones seems to be a good chunk of my saves this year .
Congradulations and remember .. we love pictures đź‘Ť.
That kind of silver pile with other keepers gathered around would make for a pretty sweet image.
Great post.

Very nice rap up report. Love the comparison of the 2 years, it truly shows your progression in the hobby. As others have stated the CTX is a true beast. Wish you would add pictures to help color the story being told here. It is a very impressive story. Congrats on a great year. Trapper
