I upgrades this past weekend. I was using a Garrett Ace 250 and it was clear that I was enjoying the hunt. I found a barely used Whites MXT Tracker for $400 and took it for a swing the past few day.

What a difference. First off, my arm dosen't hurt like the Garrett. That Garrett felt like I was carrying a hand weight around. After a couple hours I was done.

This Whites is great. It's so much lighter or probably just better balanced.

I've dug up quite a few coins at a local park so far. Just modern coins but that amount of finds has definitely increased.

You will like the MXT. It gets great depth. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of modern machines, but, it is a beast. My only real criticism on the machine is that it REALLY likes rusty bottle caps.

With the right technique, steel bottle caps are not a problem for the MXT. This is an old thread, but it explains how to deal with those pesky bottle caps.

Here is my advice, run it in Relic mode, not coin and jewelry, my MXT got a couple more inches in depth in Relic mode!! And run the gain as hot as possible!! As others have said the MXT is a beast!!

Found my first Confederate Button with a MXT a "Virginia "
Will go down as one of the best Relic detectors ever made.
