I don't expect it's much of anything but it's bugging me and sure seems familiar but I can't come up with it so..what is it?

Ice tea spoon is for size reference

It aint a Kazoo...although thats the best guess so far...I got nothing...maybe some more info would help? What kind of metal is it made out of? What kind of location did you find it at?

I'd say it's brass , the location is the same old spot that I've been hunting for a few years (pics of what's turned up there in my photo albums) but I'm away from where the majority of civil war stuff has been coming up and more into where 1900's-1930's trash/house related items have been showing up with the exception of a CW spur and a few other CW era odds and ends.

Nothing i'd call modern seems to be around.
