I'm an old school US Navy veteran and recently bought the Lesche Digger at http://www.LescheDigger.com and LOVE IT! This is the best money this old timer could have ever bought. I broke 2 cheaper Fiskars and found that they have a lesser quality metal under the handle that you can see (hence the reason they keep breaking on me). This is a link that I can highly recommend for use detecting or in the garden!

I abuse mine so bad.
Chop out targets from cement hard dry clay filled dirt, pry up big rocks and large metal instead of digging them out like I should.
My first one lasted 2 1/2 years and then I cracked it trying to pry a huge piece of iron out of the hard ground during last summer's drought and heat wave.
Not it's fault that I am lazy, I am actually surprised it lasted as long as it did.
I just got another one in a good deal from Bart and I am on the road again.

that setup i have shown is easily over 2 yrs old and still going strong (the lesche is going on 4 yrs)
