does the dfx or the xlt have a rechargeable battey?
like one found an a cordless tool or rechargeable aa bateries

Both come with regular and rechargeable battery packs. The rechargeable pack is sealed.

The rechargeable packs supplied with various pieces of equipment, can
be split and the cells replaced. I did this with an old camcorder, when
the battery packs were no longer available. Of course this is not always
economically viable. You also need to be handy with a soldering iron
