Ok, my wife found this heavy bracelet in a store parking lot a month ago. She turned it into lost and found and nobody claimed it so they called her to come get it if she wanted it. She got it.
no karat markings at all. So my guess maybe gold plated?
weighs 43 grahams.
is there any simple test to see if it is gold plated? Like with silver, you can drop on bit of bleach and it will tarnish up in a minute or so.
I really think this is costume jewelry, but it is worth a test.
just think if that would have been 14 or 24K she would have eclipsed my finds by a factor of 1000 x or more. Never would live that down.
but at least she had her eyes open.
