Finally getting around to some year end games. Between 1970-2012, there are a possible 42 Kennedy Half Dollar S proof years (1970 was silver and uncirculated). Frankiefry pointed out that there was no 1975 proof since the mint was gearing up for the 1976 coin explosion.
Amazingly, I only missed out on 8 years out of 42 years. I realize that circulated proofs do not garner much value but I also only paid 50 cents and it is a fun game to play.
Here was the breakdown:
1970-'79 (omitting non-produced 75): 7/9- Only missed 1970 and 1973.
1980-'89: 9/10- Only missed out on 1982.
1990-'99: 8/10- Only missed out on 1997 and 1998.
2000-'09: 7/10- Only missed out on 2006,2007, and 2009.
2010-'12: 2/3- Only missed out on 2012.
